Q&A

Our treatment works by mimicking the effects of a hormone naturally produced by the body that helps to regulate blood sugar levels and control appetite. This helps reduce cravings and increase feelings of fullness.

Semaglutide imitates the GLP-1 receptor naturally occurring hormone in your body which is released after you eat and indicates to your brain that you are full. These medications also work to slow the emptying of your stomach, which leads to feelings of fullness for longer after you have eaten.  Clinical investigations over the course of a 26-week experiment, those taking semaglutide lost an average of 5% of their body weight.
 
Tirzepatide is a novel dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonist. The drug functions by simulating the actions of the glucagon like peptide-1 (GLP-1) hormone, which the body secretes in reaction to food intake. GLP-1 aids in controlling blood sugar levels and suppressing hunger. GIP indirectly stimulates insulin secretion through the α cell. The combination of both events facilitates maximal insulin secretion in response to mixed nutrient stimuli. Tirzepatide is a tri-molecular compound that gives it greater potency than other GLP-1 agonists like semaglutide. 
 Clinical trials have demonstrated that participants who took tirzepatide over a 72-week period lost an average of 15.9% of their body weight.
This treatment cannot be submitted through insurance. However, we have teamed up with a highly-reputable compounding pharmacy that compounds the medication at an affordable rate.

Our medication is given as a subcutaneous injection once a week at home. You will administer it in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. The medication comes in a small glass vial which the patient must draw up and inject themselves.
